Manchester United vs Leeds United Live Streaming: When And Where To Watch Pre-season Match In India?

The Manchester United team resumes their schedule on Saturday, July 19, with a pre-season friendly match with old rivals Leeds United. The match will take place at Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden and is set to start at 6:30 PM IST (10:00 AM local time). It’s an early glimpse for Indian fans at what the club may aim for under the newly appointed boss Amorim Ruben in the 2025–26 season.

Coming to the fixture, United are still recovering from a chaotic previous season where they languished in 15th place in the Premier League, their lowest finish in more than a decade. Finished without a trophy as well, suffering a loss in the final of the Europa League to Tottenham Hotspur. Ten Hag not being in the picture anymore shifts the pressure on Amorim to rebuild a team that was lost for large portions of the prior year.

This fixture versus Leeds is Amorim’s first game in charge of United and they are viewing it as more than just a warm-up which should happen during all pre-season fixtures. It’s a chance to reset, recharge and come back strong.

When is the pre-season match between Manchester United and Leeds United?

  • Match date: Saturday, July 19, 2025
  • Kick-off time: 6:30 PM IST
  • Venue: Friends Arena, Stockholm, Sweden

Where to Watch Manchester United vs Leeds United in India?

  • TV Telecast: The match will not be telecast live via television in India.
  • Live Streaming: Supporters will be able to stream the match live on MUTV, on Manchester United’s app and website. Streaming subscription is needed.
  • Kick-off Time in India: 6:30 PM IST

What to Expect from Manchester United?

As well as giving players minutes, this is a glimpse into the Ruben Amorim era. The Portuguese manager has just named a 29-man squad for the trip to Sweden. Out of senior players, Marcus Rashford, Lisandro Martinez, and Andre Onana will not be there but fans will see new signings Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon.

There is also the chance of a few exciting academy players getting their chances in the second half, which is likely to see many changes. Amorim is expected to start strong but has indicated plans to rotate heavily during the match.

Matheus Cunha, who was signed from Wolves, may start alongside Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo. With no sign of Jadon Sancho or Antony, it appears they might be departing the club ahead of the closing of the transfer window. Bruno Fernandes remains in the team and is likely to retain his position in the midfield.

What’s new with Leeds?

After gaining 100 points and winning the Championship last season, Leeds United is back in the Premier League and still buzzing with momentum. Under the management of Daniel Farke, the Whites have been quite active during this summer transfer window, signing key players such as Gabriel Gudmundsson, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, and Lukas Nmecha.

Farke has a lot to accomplish with the squad; the match on Saturday is their first pre-season test, and I imagine he will try to figure out how the new signings fit into his system. A strongly driven Leeds team is to be expected as they try to prove themselves ahead of the Premier League.

Expect some added intrigue to the match-up as former United winger Daniel James is likely to be in the lineup.

Manchester United:
Bayindir; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Yoro; Dalot, Ugarte, Fernandes, Dorgu; Cunha, Hojlund, Amad
