Prithvi has changed his team and will now represent Maharashtra in domestic cricket. A press release has been issued by the Maharashtra Cricket Association on 7 July (Monday), in which it was told that Prithvi Shaw has become a part of the Maharashtra cricket team. Star players like Rituraj Gaikwad, Rahul Tripathi also represent Maharashtra in domestic cricket.
Prithvi Shaw will play domestic cricket for Maharashtra 2025–26 season
Prithvi Shaw requested a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from Mumbai last month in order to switch teams, and he was given one in late June.
“At this stage of my career, I believe joining the Maharashtra team will help me grow further as a cricketer,” Prithvi Shaw stated in a release. “I am deeply grateful to the Mumbai Cricket Association for the opportunities and support I have received over the years.”
Maharashtra Cricket president Rohit Pawar said Shaw’s international and IPL experience would be valuable and the team would stand “firmly behind Prithvi in his new journey” for the seasons ahead.
